Board Certified in Integrative Pediatrics, BCIP Credential

Our mission is to improve lives and heal children by advancing excellence in integrative pediatrics and treatment of children via national and international credentialing using collaborative models with the leading integrative pediatric, autisim and medical group in the nation. Our vision is to facilitate ongoing progress in the integrative care of children, advocate for wider adoption of integrative therapies by insurance carriers, and increase recognition in the role of integrative pediatrics in enhancing the health, development, productivity and overall quality of life of children and their families.


Integrative Pediatrics can be defined as an approach to the practice of pediatrics that makes use of the best available evidence, taking in to account the whole person (body, mind and spirit) including all aspects of lifestyle, and integrating it with the best clinical and practical wisdom, including the exploration, use and respect for ethnic diadems such as traditional Chinese medicine and homeopathy.


The American Association of Integrative Medicine (AAIM) offers a prestigious credentialing program: the Board Certified in Integrative Pediatrics credential. The Board Certified in Integrative Pediatrics, BCIP credential recognizes skill in Integrative Pediatrics, giving Integrative Pediatricians a voice and recognition to both the public and their respective professions.


Eligible candidates for the BCIP include but are not limited to the following:

  • Physicians
  • Chiropractors
  • Dentists
  • Licensed Mental Health Professionals
  • Naturopathic
  • Optometrists
  • Osteopathic
  • Pharmacists
  • Physical Therapists
  • Physician Assistants
  • Podiatrists
  • Registered Nurses
  • Other licensed professionals who practice complementary and alternative healthcare modalities



  • Member of the American Association of Integrative Medicine
  • A current License (If require by the state in which the practice is located)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in related field
  • No felony convictions/ Report any disciplinary action from any state or board during the past 10 years and not currently under investigation
  • 150 points attained on the application form and take the BCIP beta exam
  • Agree to uphold the Oath of Membership of the American Association of Integrative medicine
  • OR Completion of residency or fellowship in Integrative Pediatrics
